All of our homes have a No Pets Policy unless noted on the home description. (Use the amenity choice option to search for pet friendly homes) Reasons vary for no pets such as some owners (or their children or grandchildren) have severe pet dander or other pet allergies, while others are not willing to risk damage or remnants of dog hair on their precious furnishings or surfaces.

We do understand that a pet is like one of the family members. Yet, like children they require additional responsibility and care when on vacation and limit your choice of vacation homes available. To choose from the widest variety of homes it is best to consider boarding your pet with your local veterinarian or animal caregiver. If you are one of our guests that go everywhere & we mean “everywhere” with your pet, then you will fully understand our requirements and caution for pet approval.

Please feel free to call and speak with one of our reservation staff personnel to discuss your pet breed and vacation needs. We may have some owners that will consider small & short-haired pets that are not listed on our website.

We have some pet-owner guests that we call every year to see if they are coming back! These guests leave the home in an exceptionally clean manner & are very sensitive to their vacation homeowner and neighbors during their guest stay. We prefer crate trained pets especially for those activities that require the pet to remain alone in the home without supervision for a period of time.

(The Pet Waiver Form is sent with your confirmation packet to complete and mail back to our office with your Guest License Agreement. All veterinarian records are to be sent in no sooner then 45 days or later then 30 days before arrival)

All “Pet Friendly” homes approve pets by breed only. All owners or Mountain Vacation Rentals must approve your pet before you confirm your reservation. If you want to book it on line to hold it until approval, that is allowed . Let us know in the “note section” by listing your pet information.

Pets: Pets are not allowed in most homes represented by Mountain Vacation Rentals, however a limited number of homes are pet friendly. Guests who request to rent a pet friendly home will be required to complete and sign a pet waiver form and will be responsible for all loss or damage caused by the pet. Guests with unauthorized pets may be asked to vacate without refund. A $250.00 fee will be deducted from the security deposit.

PETS ALLOWED, IF APPLICABLE, ARE APPROVED BY BREED ONLY. In the event a pet has been accepted with full permission of Mountain Vacation Rentals, LLC to reside in the selected home for the duration of the rental stay, the Guest(s) acknowledges that a non-refundable $100.00 pet fee will be charged to the rental rate. Guest also accepts all responsibilities for repairs, cleanings, and replacement of inventory due to the animal causing physical damage or damage to an inventory item due to the impossibility to remove animal hairs by conventional cleaning methods. A signed and dated letter from the animals veterinarian of a current active flea medication prescription and current/active shot record must be presented 30 days before check-in to allow the pet access to the approved home. Leash rules are applicable for all properties outside of the lot boundaries of your rental home for your protection and that of others.

Mountain Vacation Rentals has a “no pet” policy in the majority of our homes, however we do have a limited number of homes that do allow pets under specific conditions.

Owners of pets are required to provide in writing the following information thirty days prior to check in. This documentation may be faxed or mailed to the Mountain Vacation Rentals office. All paperwork must be current upon submittal

Pet owners must comply at all times with the Community Leash Rules

In the event of pet damage or situations requiring extra cleaning all additional fees will be charged to the renters account. A credit card authorization form will be required and used as a guarantee against damages.

We request that owners of pets be especially considerate of their immediate neighbors as well as the community, especially with regards to excessive barking and proper cleaning all outdoor areas where pets have frequented. ALL pets are required to be on a leash in the Trillium community and other private communities and/or neighborhoods where there are homes and/or guests in the immediate vicinity.

Failure to comply with these restrictions may result in MVR requesting the renter to vacate. If this need shall arise, there would be no refund for the remaining unused portion of their stay.
